Drafting Clock

Traditional tools of measurement are used to restructure the measurement of time. a motor that moves at 2 revolutions per minute drives a 4 bar mechanism turning rotational movement into linear movement. This expands and contracts the compass along the protractor. each full cycle of movement is equivalent to 30 seconds. I have always wanted to experiment with motors and add movement to my designs. This process helped me to understand packaging appliances, putting the mechanical and electrical components into a housing.
